This Privacy Policy describes how Stylcept ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

Stylcept is an AI-powered personal styling application operated as an individual developer based in India. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at support@stylcept.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Phone number — used to create and verify your account via OTP
• Style profile — your name, gender, age, height, weight, body type, complexion, hair type, style preferences, clothing size, budget, lifestyle, and location (city/region)
• Face photo — optionally uploaded by you for the "Face Try-On" feature. Stored securely and used solely to generate outfit preview images
• Occasion queries — text inputs describing the occasion you need an outfit for

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device ID — a randomly generated identifier stored on your device to associate your data with your account
• FCM token — Firebase Cloud Messaging token for sending push notifications about your generated outfits
• Usage data — features you use, sessions initiated, occasions searched (used to improve the service)
• Weather data — your city-level location is used to fetch current weather conditions for outfit recommendations. We do not track GPS or precise location

2.3 Payment Information

We do not collect or store your payment card details. All subscription payments are processed by Google Play (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) directly. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status from RevenueCat, our subscription management provider.

2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your email address
• We do not collect your GPS or precise location
• We do not collect contact lists, call logs, or SMS
• We do not collect browsing history
• We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID)

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on a secured server located in the United States (DigitalOcean), and generated images are stored on Cloudflare R2 infrastructure. We implement the following security measures:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Phone number authentication via Firebase OTP
• JWT token-based API authentication
• Generated images are stored with user-specific private paths
• We automatically delete older outfit images when you exceed 9 saved looks
• No passwords are stored — authentication is phone-number based only

While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use strong device security (screen lock, biometrics).

6. Data Retention

• Account data — retained until you delete your account
• Style profile — retained until you delete your account or clear your profile
• Generated outfit images — maximum 9 most recent looks retained; older images automatically deleted
• Face photo — stored locally on your device and on our server. Deleted when you remove it from your profile or delete your account
• Usage logs — retained for up to 12 months for service improvement
• Subscription records — retained for legal and tax compliance for up to 7 years

7. Your Rights

Depending on your country of residence, you may have the following rights:

7.1 All Users

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — update your style profile at any time within the app
• Deletion — delete your account and all associated data directly within the app (Profile → Delete My Account). We will delete your data within 30 days
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent — you may withdraw push notification consent in your device settings at any time

7.2 European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7.3 California Users (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

7.4 Indian Users (DPDP Act 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at support@stylcept.com or using the in-app account deletion feature.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time directly within the app:

• Open the App → Profile tab → scroll to bottom → tap "Delete My Account"
• All your data including profile, looks, face photo, and subscription records will be permanently deleted
• Generated images stored on our servers will be deleted within 30 days
• If you have an active subscription, please cancel it via Google Play or Apple App Store before deleting your account

9. Children's Privacy

Stylcept is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@stylcept.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Subscriptions and Payments

Stylcept offers optional paid subscriptions (Pro and Elite plans) processed through Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The following applies:

• Payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings
• No refunds are provided for the current subscription period upon cancellation
• We do not have access to your payment card details — all billing is handled by Google or Apple

11. Push Notifications

We send push notifications to inform you when your outfit generation is complete. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device's notification settings. Disabling notifications does not affect the core functionality of the app.

12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States, where our servers and third-party service providers are located. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
